The Broadmoor Improvement Association is partnering with the City of New Orleans' Department of Parks and Parkways and the Office of Recovery Management to make Dogmoor a reality.
The BIA will be leasing the neutral ground from Parks and Parkways. While Parks and Parkways will continue to cut the grass on its regular schedule, the BIA will hire additional landscaping services for the park to supplement the services of Parks and Parkways. Trash will be picked up at the park 3-4 times per week, depending on the season. The park will be funded primarily through the Office of Recovery Management's grant funding for green space, and from privately raised funds.
Once the park is established, the BIA will oversee the day-to-day management of the park.
The Broadmoor Improvement Association would like to thank its neighborhood partners and area residents for their ongoing support of this project. If you would like to send a letter expressing your support of Dogmoor, click here to download a form letter.
